April stayed at the new hide out, feeling stressed that the turtles had left her and Casey from another mission. She was starting to feel more and more worthless as her friends always kept her behind. April knew she could be a big help to the turtles, especially with the new "powers" she was getting. Suddenly, April had a pain in her head, visions of Karai came to mind. She saw her, she saw that Karai was in danger. Casey and Master Splinter were busy setting up traps around the new hideout, making sure that a Kraang bots or any other enemy wouldn't be able to get in. April didn't had time to warn Casey or Splinter. April grabbed her Tessen and ran to the exit. She ran through abandoned streets, including streets full with patrolling aliens. April was becoming better at sneaking around, progressing to become a kuniochi. While April ran towards where she felt Karai's presence, she dialed the turtles, and made sure that Donnie would track her T-phone to where she was going.
As April was getting closer to Karai, Karai was being chased by a pack of Mousers and Kraang bots. Karai was getting tired, but she knew she couldn't stop running, for the sake of her life. Karai ran into an alley, hoping to catch a breath. But as she was hiding behind a dumpster, keeping out of enemy sight, she began to hear unknown footsteps getting closer to her. Karai hissed, taking out her fangs, ready to strike. Karai felt her venom filling her tongue and teeth. Her heart hitting her chest at every passing second. The two snakes that were her hands were also ready to strike. As soon as the stranger walked around the dumpster, Karai attacked.
By Karai's horror, she was looking into her prey's eyes, April's eyes. April's eyes were wide open in pain and in shock.
Karai immediately recognized her and removed her fangs from April's arm.
April fell to her knees, hugging her body so tightly as if she were about to explode.
Karai's venom was taking effect.
"April!"
Karai looked up to see the turtles jumping form the building and into the alley where she stood.
The turtles didn't moved when they saw April on the ground, all afraid to even say a word.
April began to shout, shouting for everyone to stay away from her.
Donatello tried calming her, trying to find a way to know what happened.
Leo looked at Karai, seeing the venom on Karai's fangs dripping, giving the answer to what happened.
Before Donnie could touch April, April made a hissing noise, April's eyes becoming more threatening, her teeth becoming sharper. April was becoming a serpent just like Karai.
The turtles took out their weapons, all fearing to know what April may do. Once April's body had completely turned, she froze in place, staring at the turtles with wondering blue eyes.
The turtles called her name, hoping to get April's attention on recognizing who she was.
April's black, narrow pupil looked directly at Karai. April opened her mouth, making a loud hissing noise giving the sign that April wasn't herself. As April hissed in pure anger, April's tail opened to reveal a Tessen like weapon with sharp ends, the two snakes that were her hands opened a black like Tessen behind their heads as if they were cobras. Before April could attack Karai, Leo and Raph had kicked April away, causing April to hiss and slither quickly away into the depths of the shadows. Donnie was about to chase after April, until Karai spoke.
"My... fault...My venom..."
"What happened to April!? I thought she couldn't mutate!" shouted Raphael who was wanting to chase after April.
Donnie thought for a moment, trying to focus.
"I think after April got bitten by Karai's venom, April's body tried to cure itself by taking the venom like a host, in other words, April's only way to avoid any life-threatening toxic substance was to become the threat."
"Why was she going to attack Karai instead of us?" asked Mikey
"Cause snakes don't really get along with each other, including on the area and the reptile's emotions." Donnie replied, "April must have felt threatened after Karai's bite."


So I always wondered what April may look "if" she was mutated to a snake like Karai, i know it ain't perfect, but so far i think it's cool. This short story above was something I made up for my sister to help her sleep at night, instead of putting her to sleep, I only made her more awake. -.-
